Chebang! is solely run by Silvia Chenault, a wife and mommy living in the heart of Southern California. She has been making things since she can remember starting out with coloring pages and paint-by-number as a kid and later getting into painting the furniture and walls of her room. Chebang! is the next step in her love of creating. It has been in the works since 2004. In the shop you'll find all sorts of sewn accesories, handmade jewelry, painting, drawings, even writing. Gimme that garbage! There are so many unwanted items out there that still have tons of potential. I save them from the garbage and transform them into new and functional items. Right now, I cut fabric salvaged from old clothes and linens and crochet it into purses and rugs, cut old plates and cups into tiles to mosaic found objects, use bottlecaps and books to make resin-filled magnets and pins, and thrift store yarn to crochet pouches and pet toys. Victoria Button strings both beads and words together in her dual careers as jewelry creator and writer.

Found objects, vintage odments and treasures gleaned on her travels all go into her unique handcrafted jewelry. Junk mail, hardware paint samples, antique photographs, retro earrings, beer caps and more have all been turned into jewelry in Victoria’s Los Angeles studio.

Her work will be featured in a book on designer mixed media jewelry to be published next year.
