The Sublime Dragonfly

The Sublime Dragonfly was created in 2001 when a hobby became a small business....all by accident! While doing research for handmade soap for a gift, I quickly realized that handmade bath items were not only great for people with sensitive skin, but also much more affordable. So - with a few items to purchase and a small kitchen to work in, I began to make my first handmade bar of soap. Completely excited with my new "creation", I began to look into other items to make as gifts. Little by little, ideas started expanding and new products were being made. Suddenly I was asked to make gifts for bridal showers, birthdays and holidays. Hence the beginning of The Sublime Dragonfly.

Ê Our products are created with essential oils, natural ingredients such as butters, oils, dead sea salts, and more! We use a variety of herbs in many of our products that help aid in aromatherapy practices. Natural ingredients such as oatmeal are used for exfoliation. We do not test any products on animals....just our friends! Our pet products are even tested on us!Ê Our products are sold all throughout the US to those who know handmade is the way to go! the sweetie pie press is a one woman operation out of toronto that is graced by a loose collection of varied contributors. originally a small press for small books about small things, the sweetie pie press now mostly makes small art on 1" buttons. sometimes, other things come out of the parkdale apartment, though, like art prints, crochet hats, bags of mystery treats, comic books and moustache shadow boxes. their newest zine, 'point form #1' should be out by the time these sampler packs are. the sweetie pie press is on tour through america this fall and winter. you should probably check the website to see if they are coming to a town near you and/or generously offer them food and/or a place to sleep.

Gimme that garbage! There are so many unwanted items out there that still have tons of potential. I save them from the garbage and transform them into new and functional items. Right now, I cut fabric salvaged from old clothes and linens and crochet it into purses and rugs, cut old plates and cups into tiles to mosaic found objects, use bottlecaps and books to make resin-filled magnets and pins, and thrift store yarn to crochet pouches and pet toys.
