We pride ourselves in supplying witty and intelligent consumers that are committed to the unique. Our shop houses sarcastic cards, personalized stationery and nifty eclectic goodies.
Can't Afford Em Buttons make buttons. We also silk screen t-shirts, sweatshirts, patches, and sometimes cool things like underwear. Now we make stickers too! In general, we stay away from machines and chemical processes in our production, preferring to do the entire process by hand whenever possible. CAE Buttons always has side projects happening and these will often make their way onto our website in addition to our "usual" products- an indie record label, handmade jewelry, a small press, handmade paper, and journals are some of the things you may find.
The motto for Chicaloo Photography is "From the silly to the beautiful and everywhere in between". I search out the unusual, the forgotten and the temporary. I am never without a camera, or three, for fear of missing the "perfect shot". I decided to break them free of my photo albums and put them to use. Hope you enjoy what you see.

Inspired by wabi-sabi, a Japanese term that means finding beauty in imperfection, they have developed a technique for making jewelry using everyday paper images decoupaged onto materials such as copper, wood, and brass.
Wolfie and the Sneak met on a blind date at a little country flea market, and though it was no affair of love at first site, the particularly charming chap proposed then and there with a plastic ring from a vending machine.Love did come later. And eventually so did marriage and the addition of four furry little creatures. Amidst the resulting chaos, Wolfie and the Sneak realized lines must be drawn.
A Punkin Card Company was created and designed through the inner workings of Amie Needham. Through paper she expresses her love of nature and vintage patterns. All her cards are made from heavy cardstock and fun patterned papers. Each piece is hand stamped with unique swirls and twirls to give each card it's own completely new design.

Catie's Blue started when I realized that I could make the jewelry I could never seem to find but was always looking for: charming, quirky, pretty, and well-made. I focus mainly on color when I design, and love experimenting with different combinations. The joy I get out of choosing beautiful beads is second to knowing someone will love the final creation. Dishy Duds came about in the fall of 2002. Our mission is to create imaginative and fun designs that suit the many colorful personalities in this life. We accomplish this by combining unique fabrics, colors, and genres. We are extremely conscience of protecting the environment and are dedicated to running this business in an environmentally respectful way. We regularly donate items to charity, as well as give a portion of proceeds to various charitable organizations. We began a campaign for Darfur, Sudan in March of 2006, and donate 10% of all sales to humanitarian relief there via Mercy Corps Int'l.

Gimme that garbage! There are so many unwanted items out there that still have tons of potential. I save them from the garbage and transform them into new and functional items. Right now, I cut fabric salvaged from old clothes and linens and crochet it into purses and rugs, cut old plates and cups into tiles to mosaic found objects, use bottlecaps and books to make resin-filled magnets and pins, and thrift store yarn to crochet pouches and pet toys. However, I'm always looking for inspiration to use new types of garbage to make new things
I use a variety of coiling and scrolling techniques on a mixture of gold and silver in combination with natural gemstones, shells, and glass. The importance of creating my wearable art is to highlight woman's inner beauty.

Her husband provides the muscle necessary to operate the crotchety antique button maker and the coffee making skills to keep Laura from being crotchety. Most of her creations are one of a kind and she can fulfill custom requests.
Rara Avis is a Graphic Design and Creative Projects company based outside of Houston, TX. Self-taught designer and DIY rebel Stevie Ballow established the company in 2005 with the idea that professional graphic design services should be accessible small businesses and individuals, not just large corporations. Today, Rara Avis has grown to include both graphic design and production of several different handmade product lines -- a handmade jewelry brand called Eutectic and three lines of handmade stationery. At the heart of Rara Avis is Ballow's strong sense of community and an indie spirit.
